  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal (75 g)
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal (75 g)
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese powder (50 g)
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Rice, Corn, and Wheat Chex cereals and gently toss to mix evenly.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan until fully liquid but not browned.
  4. Whisk the cheddar cheese powder, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper into the melted butter until smooth.
  5. Pour the buttery cheese and ranch mixture over the cereals and gently fold with a spatula to coat every piece evenly.
  6. Spread the coated mix in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent burning and ensure even toasting.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet for at least 20 minutes before serving.
