Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ยฝ cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat 1 large egg, applesauce, and vegetable oil until smooth. Slowly stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
