A creamy, dreamy peanut butter fudge with festive white chocolate swirls that’s easy to make and perfect for holiday gifting and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup (160ml) evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups (375g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (130g) white chocolate chips
  • Optional: red and green food coloring or candy melts for festive swirls

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides to lift out the fudge later. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups granulated sugar, 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, and 2/3 cup evaporated milk. Stir over medium heat until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
  3. Clip a candy thermometer to the pan side and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Boil until it reaches 234°F to 240°F (soft-ball stage), about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and immediately stir in 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir vigorously until smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour half the fudge into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Set the remaining half aside.
  6. Melt 3/4 cup white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Add red or green food coloring if desired.
  7. Dollop spoonfuls of melted white chocolate over the fudge layer in the pan. Pour the remaining peanut butter fudge over the top. Use a butter knife or skewer to gently swirl the white chocolate through the fudge for a marbled effect.
  8. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until firm. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting.
  9. Cut into squares using a sharp knife, wiping clean between cuts for neat pieces.

Notes

Stir vigorously immediately after removing from heat to avoid graininess. Use a candy thermometer for best results. Line pan with parchment paper for easy removal. Let fudge rest at room temperature before cutting to prevent cracking. For dairy-free version, substitute butter with coconut oil and evaporated milk with canned coconut milk.
